Rob joined Crawford, Smith and Swallow in 1999. He is a graduate of both the Bachelor of Accounting - Co-op, and Master of Accountancy (Taxation) programs at Brock University. Rob received the designation of Chartered Accountant in 2004 and the designation of Certified Public Accountant in 2005. Rob completed the CICA's In-depth Tax course for tax specialists in 2006.

A lifelong resident in the Niagara area, Rob is currently president of the Rotary Club of Port Colborne Centennial, and is a Freemason. In the past, he was a part-time instructer at Brock University and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Port Colborne-Wainfleet Chamber of Commerce.

Rob provides a variety of professional services from the Port Colborne office, including cross-border taxation, advisory, accounting and assurance.
